Our Recommendations:

1. Bring $10-a-day child care to all families through a publicly provided system. 

2. Develop a new child care capital program. 

3. Ensure child care options to meet the needs of shift workers and non-standard working hours. 

4. Implement universal access to before and after 'seamless day' school care on school grounds. 

5. Ensure the early childhood educator sector is a well-supported profession and implement a wage grid for all child care workers.

6. Move responsibility for child care to the Ministry of Education.
